Smorty the PayPerPost What’s Your Point of View ? replacement
ColinAs a followup to my posts about problems with PayPerPost, I have decided to give Smorty a try.
Smorty runs along the same lines as PPP but the main difference is that after you have written a post you can link it directly via your smorty admin panel. The PPP system relies on you inserting the link in your post and their system finding it. This could take up to 48 hours to do. With smorty it is linked direct. I can see the benefit of both systems. To insert the link is easier but slower, the Smorty system requires additional work but you know that the link is there and is correct.
I see this as a great way to blog for money and the pay out is good. This kind of system also helps you if you get stuck with ideas for what to blog on. I know this is a way for advertisers to advertise on blogs but you have the choice if you wish to review or not. You can not always rely on PPC to help you and sometimes the payouts are low. This way you are in control and you know you are getting paid to blog which is the thing you love to do.

Thanks for your comments Matthew. As I have just started with them, the opportunities at the moment are small. They might increase when I get more approved posts. The issue with Google PageRank I think might create a backlash from the blog community as we have to generate income other ways apart from Google.

Seems like a pretty good system - I’ll be interested to see how the ops go now that Google is basically black-balling all blogs that participate in any program that buys/sells links (PPP especially) since it’s just another way to pad the search results with un-necessary spam and backlinks.
