Google PageRank is it worth it ? Maybe time to rebel?
One of the first things I did when I setup this blog was to add a Google PageRank widget in the sidebar, ever since then it has always displayed a ? but today it displayed a 0. I went to double check it at SEOCHAT.com. My blog was a ? as I started it after the last review which I believe was April / May 07. From all the reading I have been doing, it appears that Google is now updating websites that are outside the USA hence now I have a 0. I know a lot of top bloggers have been hit badly from this new update and are creating a lot of noise about it.
One of the ways to get additional income via your blog is to use a service like PayPerPost but the only problem with this is that sponsored posts are usually based upon your PageRank number. So what do you do? Do you start taking more lower payouts to make up the difference and get hit again by Google for having paid links or do you rebel and not use adsense? Its a hard choice to make. Interesting enough your Google PageRank is not effected if you use Adsense. I wounder why that is?
