U comment I follow movement

Great tool for rewarding your commentors. However, as you gain Page rank it’s hard to continue doing that in fear of PR leakage.

I am starting to see the U comment I follow buttons everywhere nowadays. And the nofollow tag was supposed to stop Spam…. ha Thank gawd we have Askimet. It has saved my bacon many times..

Now off to install the Do follow plugin on my site. Thanks for the great info.

Yeah No follow was suppossed to stop spam but it only did half of the job. Akismet is good as well but I still prefer the good old comment moderation.

Do follow and comment moderation is a good combination.

Hi Colin, do you, or does anyone else who has commented know how to allow this system on blogger? Their system requires a lot of hacks and surgery like battles with code just to win small benefits that other systems offer by default.

The dofollow initiative is very nice but it shouldn’t have been necessary… The whole point of nofollow is a little bit useless cause it doesn’t fight spam.

I have been using the do follow plug in on many of my Web sites… It seems that pages with good comments rank higher in search engines. I’ll need to do more testing to verify this, but at the very least I don’t think the extra comments hurt rankings.
