I have installed a widget from http://www.blogupp.com/ that displays two sites from their network.

That sounds interesting and promising. At least, no efforts, and “dropping”, and “jumping”, etc are needed 
Yes it is good my only problem is that there is not stats to see what traffic has been generated. They say that this is in the pipeline.
I prefer using Google Analytics, and for my blog they have already appeared in referrers as adv.blogupp.com several times. Not bad for such a short period!

Then how do you know if it’s really working? Like Jim suggested, Google Analytics is a great tool and definitely full of info/statistics. Definitely seems like a good tool (especially since it’s free and takes no effort to install).

Has anybody actually had any good results from this website?
I cannot trace any clicks as of yet and I’ve been running this for a few weeks now.
I wouldn’t really compare this to entrecard, as entrecard can generate worthless traffic that could care less what you write. They are only interested in dropping cards and getting credits.
I would compare it to BlogRush, however, since it is much more like that. The only real difference between BlogUpp and BlogRush is that BlogUpp doesn’t maintain any type of quality control over the people that are using it and it is quite likely you will end up advertising splogs on your site. With BlogRush, you have to be approved first, and they will remove any blogs from the system that generates complaints.
BlogRush also gives you statistical information about how many times your link has appeared in other widgets, how many clicks you got, etc. And they run the TrafficJam site, too, which gives you even more exposure, with the posts that generate the most clicks in the widgets going to the top of their hotlist.
I am going to try this BlogUpp on one of my blogs that was rejected by BlogRush (for some unknown reason) and see how it goes. If I see any splog links in it, I’ll just remove it.

however concerning the quality of the content, it seems the guys from blogupp are well focused on it. they wrote on their home page they approve each one manually, and commented on this on their blog. and I don’t think they’ll keep a site reported as splog.
This sounded interesting and I signed up, I wonder if it will really bring me much traffic? I hope so.
